Men’s Physique

Judging Criteria:
Muscularity and Body Condition.  Judges will be looking for fit contestants who display proper shape and symmetry combined with muscularity and overall condition. This is not a bodybuilding contest so extreme muscularity should be marked down.
Stage Presence and Personality.  Contestants will be asked to walk in board shorts (shorts must be just above the knee in length and can be one inch below the belly button, no spandex and no logos are permitted on the board shorts however a manufacturer’s logo such as Nike symbol or Billabongs are acceptable.) Competitors will enter the stage without a shirt and barefoot. No lewd acts allowed for example the moon pose. Judges are looking for the contestant with the best stage presence and poise who can successfully convey his personality to the audience.

Presentation: Competitors will walk to the center of the stage alone and perform front and back turns with optional pose of hand on hip or hand in pocket, finishing facing the judges as directed then proceed to the side of the stage.

Comparison Round: The competitors will be brought back out in a group and directed to do turns. Judges will have the opportunity to compare competitors against each other in turns.

POSING SUITS

All suit bottoms must be V-shaped, no thongs are permitted. Suits worn at the prejudging and finals must be plain in color with no fringe, wording, sparkle or fluorescents. All Prejudging suits will be checked at the morning check-in.

Competitors are not permitted to alter the fit of the posing suit by hiking it up in the back or by pulling up the sides during Front and Rear Lat Spreads.

POSING MUSIC

Posing music will be used at the Finals only. Posing music must be on a cassette tape or CD and must be the only music on the tape or CD.Posing music must be on Side A and should be cued to the start of the music. Posing music must not contain vulgar lyrics. Competitors using music containing vulgar lyrics will be disqualified.

ONSTAGE

During the Prejudging competitors are not permitted to wear any jewelry onstage other than a wedding band. Decorative pieces in the hair are not permitted. No glasses, props or gum are permitted onstage. Any competitor doing the “Moon Pose” will be disqualified. Lying on the floor is prohibited. Bumping and shoving is prohibited. First and second persons involved will be disqualified. Competitor numbers will be worn on the left side of the suit bottom.

BACKSTAGE

The only people permitted in the backstage area are competitors, expediters and officials.

COMPETITORS HEALTH

Any competitor who appears to be disoriented, light-headed or experiences undue cramping will not be permitted to compete. Any competitor disqualified for health reasons must be checked by the attending Medical and, if it is advised by the Medical, must go to the nearest hospital for evaluation. Competitors who refuse to be evaluated by the EMT or at the hospital will be suspended from competition for a period of one year from the date of the occurrence.

THE PREJUDGING POSING ROUNDS
Judges will score competitors according to the “total package” which is a balance of size, symmetry and muscularity.

Relaxed Round

Keep your feet flat

Keep your heels together

Hold your arms at your sides

No twisting

Your head must be facing the same direction as your feet.

Individual Round

Begin when ready – no signal is necessary from the Head Judge.

Maximum of 60 seconds with a warning when 10 seconds remain.

You are not obligated to use all 60 seconds.

Lying on the floor is not permitted.

Bikini Divas

BIKINI DIVA’S REQUIRED SUIT
A 2-piece bikini of any style swimsuit will be worn.
The swimsuits will cover the frontal area and may wear G-strings and thongs but are not required.


1.) The judges will be looking for a combination of these objectives;
Beauty – overall cosmetic appearance, photogenic, skin tone and sex appeal.
Poise and General Impression – overall grooming, personality, self assurance, composure and walk.
Muscle Tone & Definition – overall muscle tone and NO muscle separation. The judges are NOT looking for muscle mass or “ripped to the bone,” extreme striations or the vascularity of a bodybuilder or a figure competitor. They are looking for shapely and toned bodies.
Symmetry & Proportion – overall structural harmony of the figure relative to the shape and size of various body parts and proportional balance of opposite body parts. The upper and lower extremities should flow aesthetically when viewed from all sides creating a balanced and symmetrical appearance.
2.) The competitors should display a very sexy and feminine attitude and keep a relaxed posture. There is NO FLEXING allowed. This is not a Bodybuilding or Figure competition.
3.) The judging will be conducted in one round.
4.) The Bikini Divas are allowed to wear jewlery such as earings and belly rings. Appropriate footwear must also be worn. Each competitor will be given an overall score in each round with an overall tabulation of points between all rounds.

I-Walk, Four Quarter Turns and Comparisons during Prejudging.

ONE Round (Solid color or Print Bikini – Your choice)
ONE ROUND ONLY!!! – SOLID COLOR OR PRINT/PATTERN BIKINI SWIMSUIT
Each competitor will come out individually and walk with Diva Attitude to the front center of he stage and pause, then walk to the corner of stage-left, pause and turn 180 degrees. Then proceed walking across to the corner of stage-right and turn 180 degrees. Then proceed to the center stage, make 180 degree turn then exit the stage. Then after all the contestants each come out individually, then all the contestants will line-up together side by side (like the photo above) in a relaxed pose. Once the entire class is on stage the Head Judge will direct the class through the quarter-turn comparisons.
Relaxed Pose – Head and eyes facing forward, right leg is straight, left leg is slightly bent and in front of the right leg, left heel is slightly raised, left hip is slightly sticking out, hold stomach in, chest high by pulling your shoulders back, right hand is place on your right hip with your left arm hanging relaxed and at the side along the center-line of the body, elbow slightly bent, tips of the fingers at the hips, no further then 6 inches from the torso (just as the photo above).
Description of Quarter Turns:
Quarter Turn Right
Head and eyes facing the same direction as the body, heels together, knees together and slightly bent, stomach in, chest out, shoulders back, left arm hanging relaxed and slightly back from the center-line of the body with a slight bend at the elbow, right arm hanging relaxed and slightly front of the center-line of the body with a slight bend at the elbow. The positioning of the arms will cause the upper body to twist slightly left with the left shoulder lowered and the right shoulder raised.

Quarter Turn Back
Head and eyes facing the same direction as the body, heels together, knees together and slightly bent, stomach in, chest out, shoulders back, both arms hanging relaxed and at the side along the center-line of the body, elbows slightly bent, tips of the fingers at the hips (no further then 6 inches from the body).



Quarter Turn Right
Head and eyes facing the same direction as the body, heels together, knees together and slightly bent, stomach in, chest out, shoulders back, right arm hanging relaxed and slightly back from the center-line of the body with a slight bend at the elbow, left arm hanging relaxed and slightly front of the center-line of the body with a slight bend at the elbow. The positioning of the arms will cause the upper body to twist slightly right with the right shoulder lowered and the left shoulder raised.

Quarter Turn Front
Head and eyes facing the same direction as the body, heels together, knees together and slightly bent, stomach in, chest out, shoulders back, both arms hanging relaxed and at the side along the center-line of the body, elbows slightly bent, tips of the fingers at the hips (no further then 6 inches from the body).
Night Show Bikini Diva Walk
Beginning from stage left the competitor will proceed to the back center of the stage, pause facing the audience, walk towards the front of the stage (front center), pause, head to the back center of the stage, pause, exit stage from the same side they started (exit stage left) – Keep in mind a Diva Attitude.
This is the competitor’s time to show off their physique in the best light to the judges and the audience. The competitor is encouraged to add in their personality and have fun.
The Pre-judging is where the scoring mainly takes place however if your class is close this is the judges last time to see you. So yes, the night show does count.
Music
NO music is needed, organizer will provide it.
Overall Comparisons
If the division has more than one class the winners of each class will be compared in the same fashion as Pre-judging to determine the Overall Winner.
No Props Allowed
The use of props during Pre-Judging and the Night Show is strictly prohibited. [/nextpage]
