Has organized Powerlifting tournaments since 1982
and has sent national athletes for international powerlifting meets since 1988

Has produced quite a number of Asian champions
and record holders. It has already produced 1 world masters
champion and 1 female gold medalist in the world championships.
The association have staged 1 Asian Open Powerlifitng
Championships in 1994 and 1 Asian Bench Press Championships in year 2000.
