Holding true to its stellar reputation as the country’s leading fitness center specializing in health, fitness, slimming and beauty, Slimmers World International held its annual BIKINI BODIES competition at the One Esplanade, SM Central Business Park Seaside last May 5, 2007.

Twenty-six candidates from all over 13 branches of Slimmers World International competed for the most coveted title of Mr. & Ms. Bikini Bodies, which is undoubtedly the most popular title every summer. Unlike other competitions where the focus is on musculature, Mr. & Ms. Bikini Bodies emphasizes the contestants’ over-all appearance in swimwear form, in true summer flavor and in time for the summer heat.

Both the Mr. and Ms. Bikini Bodies winners each took home the grand prize of PhP 25,000 in cash and a round trip ticket to Boracay for two with a 3-day stay at the peaceful and tranquil Escondido Beach Resort.

The winners are:
Mr. & Ms. Bikini Bodies – Carlito Rosadiño Jr. (Pasay Road) & Christia Flores (Adriatico)
1st Runners-up – Dominique de Vera (Alabang) & Mary Masamayor (Legaspi)
2nd Runners-up – Manuel Joseph Sanchez (Binondo) & Jolaida Niccolai Peña (Pasig)

Among the minor awards were Mr. & Ms. Great Skin by Slimmers Face & Skin Clinics which were awarded to Carlito Rosadiño and Jolaida Niccolai Peña, Framedshots, the official photographer of the event chose Dominique De Vera & Jolaida Niccolai Peña as Mr. & Ms. Photogenic, while Ruthelyn Jagodilla earned the title of Best in Swimwear courtesy of Tomato.

Other special awards were Mr. & Ms. Personality by John Robert Powers given to Manuel Joseph Sanchez and Mary Masamayor, Christia Flores bagged the Ms. Goody Body Beautiful award, Mr. & Ms. Wendy’s Healthy Body won by Dominique de Vera and Jolaida Niccolai Peña, Mr. & Ms. Nesvita Pro-Weight Management awarded to Manuel Joseph Sanchez and Suzette Delos Santos, Mr. & Ms. Berocca were given to Carlito Rosadiño Jr. and Jackie-Lynn Orpiano, Ms. Lactacyd was given to Sheena Camille Tan, Mr. & Ms. Armani Choice Award won by Carlito Rosadiño and Suzette Delos Santos, and last of all, Dominique de Vera & Suzette Delos Santos both earned the awards from Klassno Sugarfree Coffee & Coppertone Sports Sunblock.

To add glitter and glam to the boistering crowd of 2,000 that filled the One Esplanade, celebrities and prominent personalities formed the panel of judges: Ronald Joseph Moy, President of Slimmers World International, Helen Manansala-Camacho, Slimmers World’s Vice-President, Alice Lacson, wife of Senator Panfilo Lacson, Butch Francisco of Star Talk & Philippine Star, Pepito Olarte, Executive Vice-President of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Jodi Sta. Maria of ABS-CBN’s Walang Kapalit, and the reigning Miss Philippines-Fire & Miss Philippines-Ecotourism, Sarah Katrina Miñoza and Anna Katrina Bautista.

The competition concretely expresses Slimmers World’s vision, the unending quest of developing the human form to perfection through good health and fitness.
