ALLSTARS HIPHOP TEAM OFF TO ITALY

The Philippine International Competitive Aerobics Federation or PICAF in cooperation with Gold's Gym, PCSO, DOT and PSC is sending the hiphop team ALLSTARS, to Torino Italy on June 2 to 6, 2006 to compete in the 2 nd Hiphop Italian Open.

This is to prove once again that Filipino talents can be the best in the world. The team ranked no. 6 out of 28 countries in the 2005 World Hiphop Championships in Manhattan Beach Los Angeles U.S.A.

There is no one definition for hip-hop dance. The word Hip-hop "is a fusion of dance disciplines and cultural interpretations from around the world". "The most real hip hop routines showcase a variety of old school and new school moves and choreography conveying the character and energy of the streets".

Hiphop World Championship is only on its 5 th year while this is the 3 rd time that the Philippines is sending its delegation.

The team called "allstars" was formed more than a year ago compete in the 2 nd Hiphop Nationals. The team is composed of free lance dancers, group exercise instructors, models, painters who group themselves to express their common passion for hiphop.

Team is led by Ken Serrano as the coach/dancer of the team. Other members are model/event host Sheena Vera Cruz, Hotlegs dancer Lema Diaz, old school hiphoper Reagan Cornelio, Breakdancers Maya Carandang, Kyks Mendiola & Michele Salazar, painter Patrick Cabral, and new school hiphopers Laurence Chua and Jong Mesina.
