THE CALL OF THE WILD IS ON FOR THE MOST FIERCE SLIMMERS WORLD INTERNATIONAL MR. & MS. GREAT BODIES 2009!
The world of fitness transforms into a wild arena of competition with Slimmers World International’s Mr. & Ms. Great Bodies 2009. The competition, now on its landmark 14th year has emerged as the showcase for the most fit and the finest from Slimmers World, Asia’s leader in Slimming, Health, Fitness and Beauty. The main event will be held at Forum 2 of the PICC, 7 p.m. Friday, on November 20, 2009.
Taking on an African tribal theme, Mr. & Ms. Great Bodies gives new meaning to survival of the fittest. This year, this call of the wild has been heard by twenty-two candidates, aspirants who have trained hard and strong, clawing their way to the top, to determine who among these fitness warriors will rise to the mountain top of competition. Differentiating itself from other competitions, Mr. & Ms. Great Bodies 2009 will be judged for perfection in form, making the event more competitive than ever.
The candidates come from Slimmers World centers in the Philippines. They are: Ankur Chaudmary of Subic; Marjorie Ramonda of Legaspi; Christian Tan of Pasig; Rain Tan of SM Megamall; Maynard Aquino of SM North EDSA; Lucien Tiojanco of SM Megamall; Jennifer Ann Recto of Adriatico; Cedric Vladimir Dy of Adriatico; Roma Lozada of Alabang; Gabriel Flores of Alabang; Carol Donato of SM Megamal; Rameses Dingle of Pasay Road; Christine Hermoso of Pasay Road; Cham Aragones of Adriatico, Hiro Torobu of Pasay Road; Rose Cuntapay of SM North EDSA; Nomer Talibong of Subic; Rodora Trinchera of Pasay Road; Rocel Matic of Binondo; and Veronica Tagoc of Adriatico.
Candidates will be competing for both prestige and prizes. The title holders of Mr. & Ms. Great Bodies receive P50, 000 each along with a cup, sash and gifts. 1st runners up win P20, 000 each alongside a plaque, sash and gifts. 2nd runners up bring home P15, 000 each and a plaque and sash plus gifts. Other prestigious awards will also be handed out to standout candidates. Mr. & Ms Photogenic win a portrait, a digital album, a portfolio and a commemorative sash. Mr. & Ms. Great Skin win P30,000 worth of Slimmers World Face & Skin services.
The twenty-two competitors will be engaging in both Creative Posing and the Aerobics Competition. A pre-judging event, featuring the popular pose down and creative posing competition will be held at Mactan Ballroom of the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, 9:00 a.m. on November 16, 2009.
