FITNESS AND MODELING EXPO EVENT

The FAME Model Search is designed to showcase the talents of all-natural fit bodied men and women who aspire to compete or pursue a career in the exciting world of fitness modeling. This category does not involve a routine component, making it popular for competitors who prefer not to choreograph a routine at this time. On the other hand, athletes who compete other categories may wish to also compete in the Model Search as a way to further their exposure in this industry.

The FAME World Tour features 3 different types of Model Search competitions, each which is differentiated by the type of physique that is being modeled. Whether you are lean and toned, muscular and large, or shapely and fit, as long as you have the desire to model, you can do so with FAME!

The 3 Types of Model Search Competitions are:

            > FITNESS MODEL SEARCH - fit, toned athletic individuals (male & female)

            > MUSCLE MODEL SEARCH - muscular models and bodybuilders (male & female)

            > BIKINI MODEL SEARCH - shapely, fit and attractive models (female only)

Athletes for all these categories must display the proper attitude, personality, charisma and charm on stage. Judging is also based on the overall physique, marketability of the athlete, and their overall confidence. The style of walk and types of turns are meant to be individualized and should be a reflection of the athletes personality and outfit selection. The great thing about all FAME Model Search categories is that they dont require the same type of intense diet and training regimen as Bodybuilding and Figure. In fact,Fit individuals can essentially enter this category straight from the gym!!

This was the first type of FAME Model Search. It grew very quickly in popularity and lead to the other two types of Model Search competitions that were introduced in 2007.

Athletes are expected to be lean, fit, toned, symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing. They should have an athletic, fit physique while maintaining their femininity and shapeliness. Muscle groups should be balanced in their development (eg. upper vs lower body, front vs back, ratio of chest to hips).Abs should be visible, but striations and vascularity should be minimal. There is no specific percentage of body fat or musculature that is ideal for this category, rather it's what best suits that athlete.

Along withmuscle tone and development, athletes are marked on posture, body symmetry, confidence & projection, style & fluidity of walk and turns, attractiveness, marketability and general impression.Judges are also looking for a vibrant, healthy look; a great attitude; impeccable grooming; and good suit selection.

This category is also ideal for athletes competing in Fitness, as it's the same look.

There are 2 Rounds of Competition:

1st: SWIMWEAR ROUND (60%)

This is when the athletes walk out both individually and in a group to perform a series of turns. When walking out individually athletes will be directed by the stage manager on which marks to hit. Athletes should perform the walk and turns in their own style that best reflects their personality and physical attributes. Individual turns can be 1/4 , 3 point or turns. Athletes can be creative and include a trademark wave, hair flip etc. When in a group, the athletes will be asked to perform turns. Turns should always be directed to the judges to ensure they have a proper viewpoint and athletes should practice the style and stance that best displays their physique and posture so they appear symmetrical and lean. Athletes physiques are compared and ranked against each other. They are also given an individual point score based on their walk-out. Confidence, poise, outfit, overall appearance and style of turns are also evaluated through out. Athlete must appear comfortable on stage as well and not as rigid like their bodybuilding and figure counterparts. They should show some personality and appear as though they enjoy being in the spotlight.

Attire : Females wear high heels and a 2-piece suit that best displays their physique and body symmetry. Heels selected should help display the calves the best but not at the expense of a comfortable, confident walk. The shoes with the clear bottoms are ideal as the judges attention stays focused on the physique rather than being drawn downwards to the shoes. The 2 piece suit can be custom designed to best suit the body and often athletes decorate their suit with crystals and rhinestones to make them shine under the lights. Although athletes are not specifically judged on their suit, it does leave an impression with the judges and may add to the score.

Males must be barefoot and may choose to wear boxer or bikini brief style swimwear of their choice.

Thong or g-string suits are not permitted for women or men and can result in disqualification.

2nd: THEMEWEAR ROUND (40%)

This round follows the same format as the Swimsuit Round. Athletes select their own clothing and should pay attention to styles, colors, patterns and fits that flatter and accentuate their fit body. Competitors wear themed outfits that show off their personality, spirit and individual style.Outfits can range from simple sportswear clothing to elaborate costumes. The way it is worn and the confidence and personality exuded helps determine the final score. For those who select a costume its best to play up to the theme with their presentation, walk, turns and overall attitude. Athletes are encouraged to have fun and enjoy this round!

Judges look at each competitor's physique, fitness, personal style and athleticism.Remember the idea is to attract and hold the judges attention, yet presentation should not be too over the top as that could result in a deduction of points. Since it is a Fitness Model Search models should ensure their physique is visible, although they do have the option of removing layers as the round continues.
